PRICES

As I'm primarily a collector who operates almost entirely on the internet my costs are lower than dealers who have the added expense of a shop to run. I can therefore offer you very competitive prices. In fact, before I put a book up for sale I check the prices on a lot of different internet sites. However, apart from 18:56:01 10/23/06s, if I have made a mistake and you find any of these books on the internet in a similar or better condition, I'll try and match the price. If on the other hand I've under-priced a book, don't tell me - just order it and hope I don't notice!

RESERVING BOOKS

Due to having been let down in the past, books can be reserved for 2 working days only. Thereafter the first to pay gets the book!

Fine: almost as new, with minor signs of use
Very Good: showing some signs of use
Good: showing more obvious signs of use

Poor: very worn, reading copy only

Age isn't taken into account when describing the condition. This means that the average 50 year old book is likely to be in good condition, whilst 5 year old books are most likely to be in fine condition etc.

D/w = dust wrapper. Price clipped dust wrappers and minor inscriptions aren't noted.
Foxing = brown spots due to age.

GUARANTEE

If you're unhappy with your purchase for whatever reason I offer a no-quibble money back guarantee. To qualify books must be returned within 7 days, and if damaged in transit you must keep the packaging. Claims for books lost or damaged in transit must be made within 7 days of despatch otherwise I can't guarantee that you'll be covered by insurance. To be on the safe side I recommended you always put "unchecked" against your signature when signing for a package.

SELLING YOUR OWN BOOKS

I'm always after buying/swapping fishing books. If I'm buying books to add to my own collection I'll give you a particularly good price. Even if I'm buying to sell on I'll almost certainly offer you more than a dealer who has the expense of a shop to run.

I'm mainly after the more advanced books plus the classics, rather than beginner's books or obscure titles. On the other hand I'm often happy to buy suitable books such as ex-library copies or late editions that I can add to my own collection as reading copies. I can sell sell my better copy on - which is what a lot of the books listed here are.
